​​​At its heart, Reuben’s Retreat is a sanctuary. A safe, compassionate space where families can relax and recharge, remember and rebuild. Today, we provide holistic and wellbeing support to over 825 individuals, from counselling and hypnotherapy to bespoke therapies and group sessions. In 2025 alone, we’ve already delivered over 3,300 hours of care and introduced new therapies that have made a big difference to families in need.
Thanks to the generosity of supporters, we’ve also gifted families precious time away. Moments to pause, reflect, and make treasured memories together. Alongside this, we host joyful events designed for children with medically complex needs, such as REU-Cruise, Enchanted REUland, Animal Therapy Day and REU the GNU’s Birthday, all filled with laughter, smiles, and connection.
Looking ahead, we are restoring a magnificent former hospital in Glossop, Derbyshire, dating back to 1889, into a full retreat where even more families will have the chance to enjoy holidays, much needed down time, and care they might otherwise miss out on.
Everything we do is grounded in our values of being authentic, compassionate, unique, and trusted. Every penny raised is spent with integrity, honouring Reuben’s memory and the families we serve.
