About the Event

Back by popular demand! You loved her so much and wanted to know more about her life and career.

Now is your chance to come and listen to this exclusive AWTE Audience With … Kate Halpin!

Having risen through the ranks of the Metropolitan Police over a 30 year span, Detective Chief Superintendent Kate Halpin was recognised in the 2020 New Year Honours for her Distinguished Service and was awarded the prestigious QPM, Queens Police Medal.

She has held key roles in representing the police service abroad and was the first British woman to be awarded the Fulbright Police Fellowship in 2000, to examine how LAPD, LA County Sheriff, partner agencies and academics in Los Angeles policed youth crime.

Her drive for diversity, equality and inclusion shined through in her determination to celebrate the Centenary of Women in Policing London in 2019, which is when Kate first came to talk to us as an audience with AWTE.

In the mid/late 2000’s, Kate was seconded to the Foreign & Commonwealth Office as the UK Contingent Commander at the Jordan International police training Centre to train Iraqi Police recruits and lead 75 police officers to deliver this training. Kate is also the dedicated Secretary for the Metropolitan Police Superintendents Association.

There are so many layers and so much depth to Kate Halpin, her life and career, so make sure that you DON’T MISS this event! Come and listen to her magnificent story - this will sell out very quickly!!

10 Free spaces are available courtesy of The Inspire Group, one of our event sponsors. Read below for details of how to apply for a space.

A note from the event sponsors:

Lisa Henning, Managing Director, The Inspire Group said: “We are absolutely delighted to sponsor Kate Halpin, the key note speaker at the forthcoming AWTE event.  Kate is a truly inspiring speaker and her career progression and success in the police force clearly demonstrates that you can achieve whatever you set yourself with focus and determination. She is a hugely charismatic speaker and I know those who hear her speak will find her massively stimulating and motivating.” Henning also confirmed that The Inspire Group’s homeworking division is offering 10 free spaces for the event. She added: “It’s been an incredibly tough 18 months for the industry and with furlough coming to end, it’s vital that we look out for colleagues who may be displaced and offer them opportunities to network.  Providing support to co-workers and championing eachother are values that sit at the heart of the Inspire Homeworking proposition and that’s why we are delighted to offer 10 free spaces."

Director of Agency Sales & Marketing - Classic Collection Holidays & Classic Package Holidays Si Morris- Green said: "Classic Collection Holidays are pleased to support AWTE, we’re delighted to partner with such an inspirational and pioneering organisation that inspire female figures of travel, past, present and future."
