Joining the AWTE is a dynamic step for ambitious women in our sector who want support, inspiration and development opportunities to progress their careers.
We offer three membership categories, the benefits of which are laid out below:
Individual membership allows one female working at management level or above in the travel, tourism, hospitality and leisure sectors access to all member benefits, including a vote at our annual general meeting, a listing on our members database, use of the AWTE logo, attendance at events at member rates and free networking opportunities.
Fee: £80 per annum excluding VAT, plus a one-off joining fee of £60 excluding VAT (added at shopping cart stage)
Company Membership offers up to three people within the same company the opportunity to be Company Members. The company must operate within the travel, tourism, hospitality and leisure sectors.
One senior female will be the Named Member and will be eligible to vote at the annual general meeting, be listed on our members database, attend events at member rates and attend free networking opportunities. Two additional members (male or female at management level or above) will have access too the same benefits with the exception of a vote at the AGM. The company may use the AWTE logo with the strapline “Company Supporting Women in Business” on its website and company literature.
Fee: £200 per annum excluding VAT, plus a one-off joining fee of £60 excluding VAT (added at shopping cart stage)
Associate members are women who previously played a major part in the AWTE during their working lives and have now retired. All were prominent women holding senior positions in the travel industry. Associate membership provides an opportunity for you to stay in touch after full time work and to network with like-minded people.
Fee: £27 per annum excluding VAT (added at shopping cart stage)

Please note that each category of membership explains the requirement however, the AWTE will accept female members who are in a management position and aspire to progress in their chosen field, and who work within the following fields.
- transportation companies, tour operators, tourist offices, conference/incentive organisers, tourist attractions, cruise lines, hotels and their representatives, travel agencies (business and retail), and
- journalists, PR consultants, travel marketing, lawyers insurance, recruitment, college lecturers and trainers, providing 80% of work is based in the travel sector.
