Informal Drinks with the AWTE Board
The AWTE Board will be heading to the Texas Embassy Cantina at 7pm on Wednesday, 22 February. If you would like to find out more about AWTE, meet the Board, tell us about your ideas and expectations, then do come and join us for a drink and informal networking. Launch of AWTE/Women 1st Mentoring Partnership
AWTE is delighted to be partnering with Women 1st to run a mentoring scheme that will involve members from each organisation. AWTE members will receive training to become effective mentors and take on Women 1st mentees. The scheme will provide junior managers looking to progress their careers with access to senior women who will work with them and share their own experiences and expertise. The scheme will position AWTE as the aspirational organisation for mentees to work towards, as well as providing a pipeline of future members.
AWTE looks forward to working with Dan Power, Simone Roche and the team at Women 1st for the overall benefit of travel, tourism, hospitality and leisure industries, and in particular the women within our sectors.
Come along and bring your colleagues and female “rising star” staff to find out more about the scheme and how you can use mentoring in your own workplace to contribute towards professional development and the benefits it brings. All this, plus enjoy drinks and canapés whilst networking in the lovely setting of the Bleeding Heart Tavern, where aside from its colourful history of unrequited love and murder, had as its sales pitch in 1746 “drunk for a penny and dead drunk for two pence”!
